Most players don't know about tongue arch. Most professional trumpet and brass players that THINK they are doing tongue arch, are NOT doing it correctly.

(Intermediate-Advanced)

How can you tell?

1. A Choppy, Brittleness to their phrases above High C (trumpet). If you don't understand that, then let's say they sound the opposite of Maynard Ferguson. They strain and are unable to complete smooth full phrases above High C.

2. Notes above the staff particularly notes above High C are either weak or non-existent. If they do exist, they exist with very little command and power. Their high notes may also be out of tune and Squirrely.

Yet, these same players, pro players, will swear on a stack of bibles they are employing tongue arch....but they're not.

I have taught tongue arch successfully for many years and this tutorial will shed light on what has been a very ambiguous technique for the majority of all brass players. Of course it is not just for trumpet players, but ALL brass playing musicians.
